35. Ordinance #202501092: The city manager is authorized to accept and appropriate a donation of $135,000 from United Way of Cincinnati operating on behalf of the Cincinnati Bengals for the purchase of playground structures, equipment, materials and signage for improvements to the Ryan Park complex. This is a project started by former Bengals coach Marvin Lewis for the benefit of the community.

Council members, specifically Johnson, and Mayor Pureval showered appreciation on Iris Roley and volunteers of the Black United Front, who organized and effectively addressed, in collaboration with the Cincinnati Police Department, Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) and other organizations on the issue of disorderly students. Council member Jeffreys thanked Roley for her “personal leadership.” Council member Walsh told Roley that “20, 30, 40 years from now those kids … are going to be the ones standing where you are, helping the next generation up.” ”
